About Us
Dizzy Dean's Fireworks was founded in Winfield, Alabama in 2002 by Glenn Dodd, a Winfield native.
The business is named after Glenn's father, Dean Dodd.
Glenn and his wife Lavonda learned the fireworks business while serving as youth pastors in Huntsville, Alabama. Their youth group sold fireworks for 5 summers to raise money for missions work. As a result of this experience, and the Dodd's commitment to helping people buy the best fireworks at the best prices Dizzy Dean's Fireworks was born.
The original Winfield store is still operated by members of Glenn's family including parents Dean and Ann, sister Kim, brother-in-law Terry, niece Brittany, and nephew Bradley.
In 2004, the business began expansion across NW Alabama. You can now find Dizzy Dean’s Fireworks locations in Northport, Brookwood, Winfield, Hamilton, and Decatur. Each location is family run and we work hard to bring the best fireworks at the best prices to our customers.
